Perennial develops and licenses compiler validation test suites for C, C++, Embedded C++, and Java languages. Perennial is also an Accredited Conformance Test Laboratory and provides branding/certification services for C, C++ and POSIX®.

In 1989, Perennial was awarded an exclusive contract with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to provide the US Government's only certification test suite for the C language, ACVS. Perennial is also accredited by NIST as an Accredited POSIX Test Laboratory, and by X/Open as a Conformance Test Centre.

Perennial's engineering staff has contributed thousands of hours in support of national, international, and government standards organizations. They have been technical contributors in the development of standards for C, C++ and conformance testing methodologies; and served in leadership roles in the standards community as committee officers.
