Perennial Year 2000 Compliance

Perennial's software products consist of Perennial Validation Suites for C, C++, EC++, and Java compilers and UNIX based operating systems. These products are used to test that compilers for those languages, and operating systems, conform to industry standards. Perennial's products do not rely on any date related functions in order to operate properly.

The products make two kinds of use of date related functions:

1. Dates and times are recorded in reports generated by the products to let the user know when certain events occurred during a test sequence, and

2. Date and time related functions used by the compiler being tested are also tested as applicable for conformance to industry standards. Some of this testing is done for Y2K compliance.

In both cases, the products rely on the user's software, residing on the system under test, to provide correct date information, both in library requests for the current date, and file query requests for the date that a file was last accessed or modified.

As a result, all of Perennial's software products can be considered as Y2K conforming.  These products include:

ACVS - ANSI/ISO C Validation Suite

CVSA - C Compiler Validation Suite

C++VS - C++ Validation Suite

EC++VS - Embedded C++ Validation Suite

JETS - Validation Suite for Javatm Compilers, Translators, and Virtual Machines.
